Discipleship Bible School
Are you hungry to go deeper into Scripture?
Ready for a transformative encounter with God’s Word?
…DBS may be what you’ve been looking for!
What is a DBS?
Discipleship Bible School (DBS) is a YWAM secondary school that is an opportunity to encounter God through His Word. It is designed to help you grow in your understanding of the Bible & discover how to apply it in everyday life as a disciple of Jesus.
Who is DBS for?
Have you completed your DTS?
Are you hungry to go deeper into Scripture and explore what it means to follow Jesus, and to do so within a community shaped by reconciliation?
Then DBS could be for you!
What will I learn?
One of the things that makes DBS unique is its group learning approach.
Together with other disciples, you’ll journey through the whole Bible, learning through discussion, questions, reflection, and shared discovery.
You’ll also hear from experienced teachers who will help you explore:
• The literary and cultural context of the biblical texts
• The key themes and ideas within each book
• How Scripture connects with the world around us
• What the Bible means for the way we live and act as disciples of Christ
You’ll learn how to tell Bible stories accurately and facilitate engaging, interactive discussions around Scripture.
These skills can be used in family devotions, fellowships, Sunday schools, churches, Bible schools, outreach and church-planting ministries, short-term mission trips, prisons, and wherever people gather to explore God’s Word.
Throughout the school, we will traverse the Bible roughly chronologically in terms of the dates the books were originally written, using the following schedule:
