Musa's Ride for Sustainable Water in South Africa

Starting June 16, Musa will cycle over 3,044 kilometers in 31 days around Ireland’s perimeter—north to south and back to Northern Ireland—to raise funds for a sustainable water system in his home village South Africa.

Growing up in a rural village, Musa saw firsthand the struggle for clean water. The local council once provided water monthly, but even that stopped. On his recent visit, Musa was heartbroken to see no progress. Young and elderly still wake early to fetch water from distant wells or travel far to community water stations. Families with vans can haul portable tanks. Access to clean water is a human right no one should go a day without it.

Together, we can help turn hardship into hope.

Despite applying for grants, funding hasn’t come through. So, Musa is taking action, cycling 60 to 90 kilometers daily for over 31 days to raise awareness of the water crisis in his home village.

His goal is to raise £12,000 to provide a sustainable water system with a new well, purification pumps, storage tanks, and a second borehole to serve over 400 people. Join us in spreading the word about Musa’s bold challenge to bring life changing sustainable clean water supply to SA villages.
